Foot of the Cross
In honor of Scott Tompkins
In honor of Scott Tompkins who dedicated his life on the thin blue line that protects our citizens from lawlessness. He always tried to do everything he could to protect those who were disadvantaged.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24 (NRSV))

in Memory of George Marker
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered “Come with Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we love you dearly
We couldn’t make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
Scott Tompkins
Scott will be missed by so many. He was known though out the state by his co-workers as someone they could always count on and a job well done…..

Scott always found forgiveness was the best medicine in order to move forward in life. Such an amazing man and so loved by everyone.

Do not conform outwardly to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly with a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God – what is good, and is pleasing to Him, and is perfect. (Romans 12:2 (NRSV))
Dear Mama
4 years. It’s been 4 years since you left this Earthly plane. Everyday you’ve been gone, it’s been painful. This year has been the absolute worst for me, and the one I wish you were here the most. But, I know you’ve been with me during the worst of it all. As much as it has hurt me to make the decisions I have, i. e. your granddaughter, I am better off. However, this year, and the horrors of the past have taken a huge toll on my overall health. Oh well, what can you do except go forward, right?
As long as I’m alive, no matter where I am, I will always have this night and this cross light up the valley in your honor. I still remember sitting on the deck, our long talks and how much you found solace seeing it lit up at night. It is the least I can do.
I miss you Mom, and I love you very, very much. We’ll see each other again
In loving memory of Virgil G Meinzer who we miss everyday
