Wenatchee Valley Cross

At The Foot Of The Cross...

I would like to dedicate the cross to God's glory. We want you to have the opportunity to be involved in this gift to the community. If you would like to Sponsor the Cross for a special night we would love to light it for you. For details please visit our Support page. We would like to thank Kevin G. for letting us put the cross on his property. Please respect his property and do not visit the cross site. Thank you! Randy

Thank you!!!

Just before Thanksgiving I wondered about the cross. I had not seen it for a while and with the Christmas season quickly approaching I kept anticipating its presence on the horizon. I was so blessed this year to see it bigger and brighter than ever in its new location. My kitchen window looks south from my home in East Wenatchee with a clear view of Wenatchee Heights. One evening I glanced up while doing the dishes and there was the cross, positioned perfectly in the center pane of my kitchen window. It is wonderful!! My young daughter, Hope, was also thrilled. Thank you to all associated for blessing our family in many years past, but especially this year. Its new home is perfect!!

Glory to God in the Highest!

Since moving to Wenatchee I have appreciated looking across the valley to see that cross shining as a reminder for the reason for Christmas, the beginning of the earthly mission of love by God’s Son! Thank-you to all who have labored to move it, maintain it, and fund it. I love the creativity of God’s people as they use their gifts for ministry, and this is a great example!

The shining cross over our valley has always been encouraging to me…

The cross has been one of the most encouraging things in this valley for me. No matter how my day has gone, just looking up and seeing the cross lit reminds me that my Hope is in Christ Jesus! This ministry has helped me through some rough times and I just wanted to thank Randy for the time and work he’s put into it. Most of all I want to thank Jesus for giving us His Life on the cross for us! Without Him this would truly be a dark world.

In memory of Melvin, Catherine, and Greg Peterson…

In memory of Melvin, Catherine, and Greg Peterson. You will always be in our hearts forever and always. A day doesn’t go by without thinking of you in happy memories and sadness in missing you so much. We will love you and miss you forever. Lovingly, Your family. Dave, Penny, Joe and Kailyn, Josh and Brooke, Susie, John, Cindy, and Ashley, Sean, Tera, Cauy, and Kalie and your many friends and other family members.

The cross has been one of the most encouraging things in this valley…

Seeing the cross shining over our valley has been one of the greatest encouragements for me. There have been a few nights coming home from this or that when I really needed that extra reminder to look to Jesus and not at my circumstances or my feelings. Thank you, Randy, for all the time and labor you’ve put into this ministry. But most of all, Thank You Jesus for what the cross represents!!

In memory of Barbara Chamblee Smith…

The cross is lit from November 21 through November 28, 2009 in memory of

Barbara Chamblee Smith

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Barbara left this earthly world on November 21, 2007 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer for nearly five years. She was memorialized on November 28, 2007 which would have been her 68 th birthday. Barbara had a profound effect on so many people who miss her dearly. Words cannot quite describe her, but if you were to look up the word “grace” in the dictionary it would say “Barbara.

We miss you, Mom, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday.

“Those who gave our lives beauty shall live forever in our hearts.”

Wife of Lee

Mother to Dawn, Michael, Randall, Christopher, Rebecca and Matthew

Grandmother to Gwenevere, Jason, Chris, Gabe, Jessica, Paul, Annie, Jennifer, Andrew, Nathaniel, Avery and Morgan

Sister to LeMar, Gary, Rodney and Richard

WOW… My how God works things out…

WOW…. My how God works things out. If we could only be as patient.

The helicopter had some mechanical issues and had to be trucked back to Cal. so we lost the use of it.

The good news is that we have a boom truck donated by Star Rentals and a operator donated by Industrial Electric & Mechanical to take it down.

Hope this will all happen at 4 PM today…GOD willing of course.

Thanks for your support.

Randy and Crew.

The cross will be lifted Maybe Sunday or Monday…

Waiting for the helicopter to finish with the Uncontrolled “Controlled” burn at beehive. When that is finished the cross will be lifted Maybe Sunday or Monday morning about 9 am to Wenatchee Heights and laid down until we can get the site prepared. .

Stay tuned for more info. GOD Bless.

Update on moving the cross…

As of Friday Sept. 11th the arms of the cross are gone. We will be moving the cross as soon as a place becomes open. We have a site in mind just some legal stuff to get settled.

Thank you to Zac Woolbright, Steve Johnson and David Lane for the help on Friday.

Thanks to the Community for your support. Hope to have some great new features on the cross when we get it back up.

Stay tuned and GOD bless.

Randy and Crew.

For Emma Briggs on her 18th birthday…

Psalm 25:4-5

Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths, guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

For Emma Briggs on her 18th birthday. May the words of Psalm 25:4-5 be the prayer of your life. It is our prayer for you.

With all our love, Mom, Dad, Elisabeth and Laura.

In Honor of Kade Whitaker and Linda Bull…

May 22nd, 2004, Kade Whitaker (my brother) died at the age of 16 in a car accident. Linda Bull, my grandmother, also died in this accident. My mother, Lisa Whitaker, loves the cross over Wenatchee. I thought having it lit on the 22nd may help keep her mind on the Lord on that difficult day. Basically, my hope is that Lisa will be able to look at this anniversary from a Godly perspective.
